One of the main goals of GEIS is the education of residents, researchers and general public.
To that end, GEIS annually holds a Sarcoma Advanced Course during which residents and young associates have the opportunity to know better the diversity of sarcomas and the required handling of them.
Every year GEIS organizes a Sarcomas Advanced Course to promote the education of doctors, residents and young associates on this complex pathologies. It covers a wide range of medical areas: medical oncology, pathology, radiotherapy, surgery, traumatology, molecular biology. The course comprises speaker seminars which address different areas and group activities with direct interaction with the alumni.
In 2023 the course was held at the Gregorio Marañón University General Hospital (Madrid) on October, 4th and 5th. Pdfs of the presentations of this edition are available in our website in Spanish.
The next edition of the course will be held on October 2nd and 3rd, 2024.
